Our Preschool programs serve children ages 32 months to Kindergarten. We currently have 7 preschool classrooms.
We are licensed to serve 120 preschool aged children.
Sandcastle provides breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack for all preschoolers. The children have a rest period from 1-3 pm.

Young preschoolers are given the guidance needed to develop social/emotional skills and creative expression as well as sensory stimulation, language development, small and large muscle skills, and increasing cognitive skills.
The young preschool groups are developmentally diverse. Staff members recognize and encourage differences while providing opportunities for the toddlers to enhance their developmental progress.
Goals are constantly reassessed in terms of the current needs of each child. The staff works with parents on setting goals for each child based on the child's particular situation

Our young preschool program uses the Creative Curriculum enriched program. This program focuses on the following goals and objectives:

demonstrates basic motor skills both fine and gross

The preschool program continues the child's development of social / emotional development, language development, cognitive, and physical skills through an environment introducing freedom within limits. This environment fosters an inner discipline gained from making choices, thereby developing independence, self-motivation, and increased creativity.
Our preschool program uses the Doors to Discovery Curriculum and the Early Childhood Workshop to enhance early literacy and math skills and help prepare the children for kindergarten. This is a standards-based curriculum which focuses on the following goals and objectives:
