Student Council represents the student body from grades
K-8. Elected from the Junior High are 6 representatives and 3 executives.
The creativity of these students is used to initiate activities which
benefit the school and larger community. By accepting these roles, members
demonstrate leadership, responsibility and create school spirit. Two dedicated
faculty members assist these exceptional students in accomplishing its
goals.
One program planned by Student Council is “Quarter Rewards”.
This incentive based system provides Junior High students a reward for
demonstrating responsible behavior, maintaining positive attitudes and
achieving academic success. This year the Council has planned snow tubing,
roller skating, and open bowling at the school’s lanes. The council
plans activities including a student talent show, a spring field day,
school spirit days and events during Catholic Schools week.
Most importantly, a food drive is orchestrated by the hard working elected
individuals. It raises in excess of 2000 lbs. of donated goods and food
for local charities serving our community.
The Council hopes
to expand its role to daily announcements and also strengthen school spiritual
growth.
