Religion
Daily emphasis is on learning and showing ways to demonstrate our role
as Christians. Activities with others aids in gaining respect for life,
importance of our call to service and an understanding of how Jesus can
be seen in others.
The New Testament textbook, along with the Bible, creates an understanding
of how God reveals Himself and His plan of salvation. The students are
offered lessons and activities on ethical decision making, parables and
how they can apply to daily life, and interpreting and applying scripture
to daily life, just to name a few.
The students gain an understanding that prayer and faith in God is a way
of life.
Language Arts
Reading - Character analysis, identifying themes, different points of view,
vocabulary development, plot structure and conflict are concepts covered
when reading short stories and novels.

learn spelling, the part of speech and sentence structure.

All students in jr. high learn from both textbooks and hands-on lab experiences to build knowledge and inquiry skills. Students also participate in the science fair which is held in the spring. Students select their own topics and work alone or in partners. Throughout the year, students use the scientific method in all lab experiences and in the science fair.
