SFSJUS is very proud on the wonderful Fine Arts Programs offered to our students.  Students participate in two music classes per week.  This includes the fundamentals of music, singing, music history and music theory.  In the middle school, students receive instruction on the recorder, Orff instruments or guitar.  Students in the primary grades have the opportunity to learn how to use Orff instruments too.

The middle school electives program expands on our offerings in the fine arts area.  Students in grades 5-8 elect to take classes in Music Composition, Advanced Guitar, Drama and Photojournalism.  In the Spring of  2009, the middle school students will present a special presentation of their yearlong efforts.

Our students also perform in Christmas and Spring Concerts.  Last Spring our advanced guitar group performed at a local coffee shop as a fund raising event for our school music program.
