When God is quoted in the book of Revelation, "See, I make all things new!" the reference was probably not to creating websites. For us, however, this is new. Welcome to the website for the parishes of St. Francis de Sales and St. James.

These parishes are not exactly new. St. Francis de Sales was founded in 1883 to serve German immigrants living west of downtown St. Paul. St. James was established 4 years later for people of all nationalities, but with churches already established in St. Paul for Germans, Italians, French, Bohemians, and Polish, St. James became identified as the local Irish parish.

Most recently our parish community has been enriched by the presence of another national group. In October 2001 we became home to several Latino families. That community has grown and become a vibrant part of the mix at St. James and St. Francis.

God does make all things new…constantly. Please check out our website to see what is new in this part of God’s creation.
